Since 2004, the Patriot Training Foundation has provided training (leadership, tactical, lifesaving and crisis intervention) without cost to local youth who pursue a commission as an officer or enlist with a combat or lifesaving MOS. Their all-volunteer board and instructors strive to give trainees a tremendous advantage as they assume leadership and deploy to areas around the world. Over the past year, their trainees have earned numerous awards and opportunities such as Cadet/Midshipmen of the Month/Semester, Honor Graduates, the 2020 National Air Force ROTC Cadet of the Year, and highly sought-after positions after graduation. Patriot Training Foundation leaders excel while in the military and in civilian positions after their service ends.
In 2014, the Patriot Training Foundation officially included law enforcement to their mission to support those that serve our community. They offer the use of a 563-acre facility and training programs to local, state and federal departments without cost. The facility provides an unequaled opportunity for realistic training and critical decision-making that is difficult to find or afford elsewhere. In some cases, PTF provides critical supplies when a department cannot acquire what is needed for optimal training. In a recent 10-day period, the PTF hosted over 200 officers from five departments. At a time of crisis for police and budget shortfalls, PTF’s law enforcement mission is playing a critical role in assuring the safety of our community and the officers who selflessly watch over us.
