Some partnerships support an event. Others help shape its history. For Pace Properties, the connection to Flags of Valor is both organizational and deeply personal.
Where the Partnership Began
Before co-founding America’s Heartland Remembers and Flags of Valor, Rick Randall spent much of his career at Pace Properties. After years of working alongside the Pace team, Rick retired from the company, but the relationships he built there remained strong.
When Rick and Susie Randall began the work that would bring the first Flags of Valor memorial to Art Hill in 2011, Pace Properties was there to support them. The company believed in Rick, in the vision for the memorial and in the importance of giving St. Louis a place to honor those whose lives had been lost.
As a founding sponsor, Pace provided the early support needed to help turn that vision into a reality. Its commitment helped establish what has become a deeply meaningful St. Louis tradition, returning every five years to honor individual lives and remind the community that remembrance requires action.
The Pace Properties Flags of Valor partnership was not simply a corporate sponsorship. It grew from a longstanding relationship, a shared commitment to St. Louis and a belief in what Rick and Susie were working to create.
A Commitment to Community
That spirit of involvement is closely connected to who Pace Properties is as a company. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in St. Louis, Pace provides comprehensive commercial real estate services while remaining committed to enriching the communities where its team lives and works.
For more than four decades, Pace has helped shape places throughout the St. Louis region. Through its support of Flags of Valor, the company is also helping create a place where people can gather, reflect and remember.
Continuing the Legacy in 2026
Pace Properties continues its founding legacy as a Field of Honor Sponsor for the 2026 Flags of Valor memorial.
Its support helps prepare Art Hill for thousands of American flags, coordinate the volunteers who will raise them row by row and create a dignified place for families and visitors during the 25th anniversary of September 11.
The scale of the memorial is powerful, but its meaning is found in the individual stories represented throughout the field.
One sponsored row will represent 131 individual heroes. Each flag carries a name and personal details that invite visitors to pause, look closer and learn more. Together, they remind us that every large historical number is made up of individual lives, families and sacrifices that should never be forgotten.

A Partnership That Has Endured
Pace Properties’ support reaches beyond a single memorial or sponsorship year. Its continued involvement connects the first Flags of Valor memorial in 2011 with the thousands of people who will experience the field in 2026.
What began through Rick Randall’s long relationship with Pace has become an enduring partnership rooted in loyalty, community and remembrance.
That kind of commitment matters. It allows the memorial to grow while protecting the personal purpose at its heart. It helps ensure that a new generation can walk among the flags, learn the names of the heroes they represent and understand why remembering them remains so important.
We are deeply grateful to Pace Properties for believing in Rick and Susie’s vision from the beginning and for continuing to stand beside Flags of Valor today.
Because of founding partners like Pace, St. Louis can continue to gather on Art Hill, stand among the flags and make the promise to never forget visible for a new generation.
