Honor, Hope and Healing
It’s an honor no one wants. And when the unthinkable happens, it is an unimaginably painful time for the families of the fallen. There are no words that console. No amount of money can bring them back. Though they have countless memories that feel like yesterday, they often grapple with the feeling that no one else will ever know the amazing person who was lost.
Flags of Valor not only keeps memories alive but also supports Gold Star Families by inviting others to understand and appreciate their sacrifice. The simple act of taking time to learn and understand honors the fallen and helps heal those who remain.
Each hero’s flag will be sent to their Gold Star Families at no cost – please fill out the contact form to help us in this effort. In the ‘message section’ please include your hero’s name, branch of service, and date of death. To keep the process as smooth as possible, taking flags from Art Hill is prohibited. Flags will be delivered by hand or mailed to Gold Star Families in the months following the event.
Please note that this is a change in policy from 2011 and 2016, when individuals not associated with the Gold Star Family of the hero were able to make a donation and receive a flag.
